Thanks for making students aware of the initiative Peter. The kindness cards are actually an attempt to address the feedback we received through the First Year Experinece Survey where students complained that law students aren't friendly to eachother. We can only guess at the reasons for that but we suspect it comes from the high level of competition for the best marks. We are hoping that a few more collaborative events that don't involve competition for marks will help - especially in the lead up to exams where tensions are already at a high.

I am very pleased to have come across this other feedback about how our academic staff are being perceived and how we could and should do better. I will take it all on board and keep you posted on what we intend to do about it...

Thanks Melinda. Have you seen the feedback that was posted to my Facebook page (where this tweet and photos were cross-posted)? If not I can forward it to you (removing the names of the students to protect the innocent).
